In the university district “green center Essen” one of the most modern corporate centers of a German media house was built. The FUNKE MEDIENGRUPPE, with more than 700 titles the third largest publishing house in Germany, has a new corporate headquarters: the FUNKE Media office. In December 2015 KÖLBL KRUSE started the construction work. Completion was at the end of 2018. With a floor space of more than 30,000 square meters, it offers its employees an environment and atmosphere that promotes creative and collaborative work. The FUNKE MEDIENGRUPPE has consciously decided to stay at the headquarters in Essen – the city in which the “Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung” has become a multimedial media center in the past six decades. The location decision for Essen is a clear commitment to the company’s history and orientation towards the future. In addition, the FUNKE Media office is not just a building of internal communication. With its public media café, service points and event facilities, the building complex offers various options for employees to get in touch with customers and readers.
