The elaborate conversion of the conveyor belt of the Dortmunder Zeche Minister Stein, according to the plans of the architectural office Bahl + Partner Architekten BDA, is a successful example of the integration of ultra-modern offices into listed building fabric – by now a specialty of KÖLBL KRUSE. According to the house-in-house principle three office floors were used in the conveyor tower. At the same time, the three-storey high conveyor was retained and was integrated into the modern offices as a design element. From this second highest office in Dortmund you can enjoy a spectacular view into the Sauerland. On the site of the former pit bank, a new office building was built which takes shape and size. The building, which was erected on columns, was fitted between the winding tower columns. Minister Stein – an attractive landmark, an intermediary between tradition and modernity as well as a sample project of the International Building Exhibition.
