Cäcilium

In the middle of Cologne’s city, the modern office building Cäcilium is located three minutes away from the bustling business district of Hohe Strasse and the Schildergasse. Opposite, you will find the name-forming Cecilia monastery. And in the underground is a hundred year old, listed cellar of a former underground substation. Two independent office units, designed by KSP Engel and Zimmermann Architekten, enclose the attractively designed green courtyard, which is next to the monastery garden. The convex façade surface of glass and aluminum, which reflects the venerable monastery walls with a light elegance, creates a solid and modern swing. Inside, sophisticated technology and tailor-made room layout ensure short distances and concentrated work. By shifting the service and meeting rooms into the interior of the building, you can look out over the city center or the idyllic gardens from every office. An architectural highlight that captures its charms from the tension of concentrated calm and lively urban flair.
